Dear Colleagues,
IACAPAP in partnership with the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) Global Center at the Child Mind Institute and in collaboration with more than 100 mental health experts around the world are joining forces to create a free, multilingual item bank to assess mental health conditions in children and adolescents around the world. This item bank will be undergoing translatability assessment, pretesting, and psychometric assessment in the next phase. You can find the summary of the process here on SNF Global Center website. We would like to invite you to contribute to the development of this item bank by evaluating a subset of these items. Gathering more diverse viewpoints will be essential to ensure the item bank’s relevance and effectiveness.
To facilitate your review, we have created this form where you can provide your feedback on the items. The form includes 18 condition sections, but you can select the condition(s) that align with your expertise and interest and only evaluate these items. It is estimated to take on average 10-15 minutes pers section. If you are completing the form on your mobile phone, it might take a few seconds to load. Also, please make sure you scroll down on your mobile screen to view all the information provided for you.
We kindly request that you dedicate some time over the two weeks to thoroughly examine the items. Your help in sharing this information with your members is greatly appreciated. The deadline to submit your feedback is 23 Jul 2024, Tuesday. Your feedback will play a crucial role in ensuring the content's accuracy and relevance, ultimately contributing to our understanding of the prevalence of child and adolescent mental health worldwide, and universally tracking of symptomatology.
If you have any questions, require additional information during the review process, or want to suggest other experts to be a part of this initiative, please feel free to reach out to Dr. Giovanni Salum, Vice President of Global Programs at the Child Mind Institute: Giovanni.Salum@childmind.org or Dr. Zeina Mneimneh, Director of Global Landscape Mapping Zeina.Mneimneh@childmind.org
To acknowledge your work, we are planning to create a consortium and list all experts who contributed to the item bank development in a future manuscript.
We appreciate your commitment to advancing our understanding of youth mental health, and we are confident that your input will greatly enhance the quality of this free resource. Thank you, in advance, for your time and expertise.
